Day one of a veggie juice fast...
I was inspired by many to cleanse my system and after watching a video about a guy that did a 60 day fast and he felt wonderful and lost tons of weight and cleared up health issues I realized my body deserves a change.
Last night I started with a carrot, garlic and parsley drink to take down my water retention.
Day 1
Mean green for breakfast
Green lemonade for mid morning
Lunch... Something with pear
Haven't decided yet.
So far I feel the weird surges in my body, I am guessing its toxins making their way thru.
I'm hoping I won't have a horrible detox... If you know me well you know I am not a junk food eater so the less junk the less funk to work out of the body.
Energy levels are a little low for now as with any change in eating your body needs to acclimate.
We shall see what comes in the next few days.
Until tomorrow...

Almost ten weeks
It has been almost ten weeks since Calvin found his way into this world. I cannot believe how time flies. He is such a cutie. This past two weeks he is all giggles and smiles. His cooing and using his voice is increasing. Nap time is so sweet with him. He sleeps on his own most of the time but sometimes I will snuggle up with him and take a nap too. Yes I know everyone says to take advantage to nap when he naps but he is such a good night sleeper that I dont need to nap during the day most of the time.
The beauty and the sadness of being a parent is overwhelming. The first few weeks I would just sit and hold him and cry and try to hold on to every last second that he was that small. Now I sit and look at him in awe because each day he evolves so much. His head is HUGE! HEHE! I am so glad he was not born with that head. Healing is going well. I have a bit of an issue in the site but Dr visit is tomorrow.
Ok thats all for now.
Another day another dirty diaper or 6.

Nothing to write about lately.

It is amazing that 9 months can pass so quickly. These past couple months have just flown by. I cant believe we have been in the new house for nearly three months. I am at nearly 40 weeks now and he still wants to stay in the warmth.
It is getting harder by the day to be so far from friends and family but like I have said before it was our choice so we gotta deal. Sorry guys! We had planned a trip in May or June to come to the sunshine state but not sure thats gonna happen. We sure hope so. It has already been 15 months since we moved over here. Life here is good. We have a great congregation and the assistance sure helps the stress levels. I just feel like we are stuck in a rut. I guess it is the pregnancy making me complain. I will stop now.
My little alien child has been a busy lil man lately. He likes to move in mysterious ways (all you U2 fans will now sing that song all day). My highlight of the day is when he starts kneading my belly with his legs and feet. Feels like he is stretching the walls out to make more room for himself.
Mike is still looking for work since September. We shall see what happens.
As I know all you others are suffering financially I think of you often and hope things at least level out a little for you.
I hug you all!

Our little man!

Yesterday we got our first peek at our minimikes face. Technology is so awesome these days. I think we overuse it to our detriment though. Now I am even more eager to see him in live. Doc says he is in launch position and doing great. If he is born at full term he should be about 7.5 lbs. Doc said not too chunky not too skinny... JUST RIGHT! Hehe! Although he is a little taller than to be expected at this time. We are 34.5 weeks along and his femur measures 36 weeks. So... we will have a giant like me. Glad I have the space to keep him in there not too uncomfortably. I am finally waddling and feeling pregnant. Before I would forget I was prego and the all the sudden he would kick me and remind me he was there. I KNOW he is there now. He gets hiccups EVERY day and almost EVERY meeting. Poor kid! Ok well gotta get lunch going and get ready for meeting tonight. Hugs to all!

I cracked
Everyone asks and asks "Is it hard for you to be here without your family and being prego and all?" NOW WHAT KINDA QUESTION IS THAT? So tonight I made it through all of the meeting and the last song after the WT got me leaking. I am glad I have the hormones to blame it on.
So YES I do miss my friends and family and YES it is hard being here without family and friends.
Hugs to all!

Yesterday was an interesting day... Mike took me out to lunch which is odd because there is like one restaurant in this town we go to and we only go once in a blue moon. As we entered the house he offered me to go first and I entered to a house full of gifts and decor and about 11 sisters from our hall. They threw me an american style surprise baby shower. HEHE! The first in France! I am so privileged!
It was a cute day with games that were between cute and disgusting but we all had a good laugh. My favorite being the guess what chocolate bar was melted in the diaper! Which my sister in law and friend followed by eating the bars out of the diapers. ICK!
I of course am the hardest person in the world to surprise but they did a good job. I have my ideas of what was going on but was not expecting it yesterday. After a hardy afternoon of partying I slept like a baby and today it is back to the grindstone with cleaning and construction.
Big hugs and have a good week to all!
